Again No Pics

Yes, I still don't have any pictures. I have a few but I haven't had time to load them. I promise I will try to get them posted.

The summer has flown by and I'm finding myself buying school supplies. How can that be? Kara will be in the thrid grade and Kyle will go to the middle school this year. HELP! He is playing football again this year. I think this is his 6th year! Kara is going to try soccer again. She'll be playing at the church this year. Maybe she'll have better luck.

Donnie is still working at the airport. No major changes there. He will be at the Mount Comfort Airshow the end of this month since he is in charge of the emergency/crash/fire/rescue out there. I usually don't see him for about a week.

I took a promotion at work and now am the office manager for family practice side at the office. I think it's a good thing but I have to work 8-5 Monday-Friday and I'm not used to that. Believe it or not I'm not used to telling people what they should and shouldn't be doing.
Donnie has been a big help through this because he's been "managing" firefighters for 5 years now.

Our house is still for sale if you know of anyone who wants a newly carpeted, painted, CLEAN house. 3-4 bedrooms 2 baths. Taxes didn't go through the roof! : ) 137,500 list price

Training in Seattle

Donnie made it back from Seattle. He did a lot of training there. It is one thing that I never want to see when I'm on a plane!

On my own...

Well, I'm on my own this week as Donnie will fly to Seattle for a conference/training on the new Boeing Airbus. He won't be back until Friday evening. I guess I'll get to play single mom for a week. Donnie hates to fly and the last time he flew was in 1998. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. : )

Failure

I have failed to keep updating our blog. I don't have any recent pictures. I think that is what happens when kids get older. : )

We are about to finish another school year and I know the kids will be so glad to finish. They will be spending a couple of weeks in June in South Carolina with Donnies' mom and dad. We have talked about letting them go for the last few years but baseball/softball seems to take up the whole summer. This year both of the kids have decided to sit a year out and actually have a summer. Donnie and I are looking forward to having some time alone but after a couple of days I will start to miss them. It will be interesting.

We aren't taking any major vacations this year. We will probably spend a few days in South Cariolina when we take the kids to spend a couple of weeks but that will be it. Donnie and I will be going to Columbus Ohio in July to see a concert (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill). That will be the highlight of my summer.

While we were in South Carolina, we went to the state museum. Kara thought she'd be funny....we got a big kick out of it.

Our visit to South Carolina

We went to South Carolina (Fort Jackson)the end of January for Roys' (Donnies' dad) retirement. He retired after 37 years in the fire service. He did not know that we were planning on being there. It was a complete surprise to him. Donnie spoke at the ceremony and did a wonderful job.

Surviving Christmas!!!

We all managed to survive Christmas. The kids all had a great time. Kaden has really become attached to Kyle and Kara. He even says their names (at least part of it).

Roy and Robin

Roy and Robin (Donnies' parents) came up before Christmas to give the kids their gifts. They weren't able to stay long due to Roy getting ready to retire from MANY years in the fire service.
